Road is always loud and crowded, so there is a constant hum of traffic outside our windows throughout the day. Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited is the company name. The building we are in is quite typical for this part of Kolkata. It has that old-fashioned feel to it that you find in older neighborhoods. Inside, we have a few rooms where the staff works on various projects. We don't have any modern glass partitions or high-tech gadgets. It is just old-school office work with lots of pens, paper, and ledgers. We do have a few computers, but we still rely on our physical files quite a bit for everything. The humidity in Kolkata can be very draining, so we keep the ceiling fans going all day long to stay comfortable. We are a small team and we mostly keep to ourselves while we work. There is a lot of good local food available right outside the door, which is one of the best things about being in Sodepur. We don't try to sound like a big corporate entity. We are just a bunch of people working in a busy part of West Bengal, trying to stay organized and get our work finished on time every single day.
