Down here at 58/1 Dr. Jiban Ratan Dhar Road in Dum Dum, we run the local operations for Ivrcl Infrastructures & Projects Ltd. If you know the Calcutta area, you know Dum Dum is always buzzing with activity. Our office is tucked away in a spot that allows us to manage various projects without getting stuck in the middle of the city's worst congestion, though it's still pretty busy. We focus mainly on the structural side of things, dealing with the nuts and bolts of infrastructure. It’s a lot of paperwork mixed with on-site visits to make sure the builders have what they need. The building we are in is older, typical for this part of West Bengal, but it serves us well enough. We aren't big on decorations; the walls are mostly covered in project timelines and site layouts. There is a lot of back and forth between us and the local suppliers. Dealing with the climate here, especially the heat, makes the project schedules a bit flexible sometimes. We just keep plugging away at whatever the current job is. It’s honest work, and we’ve got a group of people who have been with us for years. We know the streets of Dum Dum like the back of our hands now. It’s just how we operate, keeping things simple and moving forward every day without making a big scene about it.
