Selection Caterer

Selection Caterer has been sitting at 353/3A on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Haridevpur for quite some time now. If you live around here, you probably know the area gets pretty crowded, especially near the 700082 zip code. We spend most of our mornings dealing with sacks of rice and fresh produce that comes in from the local markets. It is not a quiet job. The kitchen is always going with some sort of steam or the sound of knives hitting cutting boards. We handle a lot of different events, mostly just local families who need someone to cook for their weddings or house parties. Sometimes the traffic on MG Road makes it a real challenge to get things delivered on time, but we somehow make it work. We are just a group of people who like to cook. It is messy work and we often end up with stains on our aprons by noon. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us here in the shop. People stop by to chat about their menus and we just write things down on whatever paper is handy. It’s been a long journey from when we first started. The neighborhood has changed a lot, but we are still here doing the same thing every day. We hope the food tastes like home to the people who eat it. That is really the only thing we worry about at the end of the day.
