S.D. International (Lux)

S.D. International (Lux) is run out of Flat-02 in the Jamunatri Apartment, which is over in Kestopur, Kolkata. It’s a residential area, so it’s not your typical business park. We are located at Be-26, care of Mrs. Purnima Ghosh. It’s a quiet spot, which helps when we need to focus on our paperwork and orders. Kestopur is a busy part of the city, and getting around Praffullya Kanan can be a challenge with the traffic, but we’ve made it work for us. We handle international stuff, mostly logistics and coordination, which means we spend a lot of time on the phone or the computer. We don't have a big sign outside or a lobby. It’s just an apartment where the work happens. People might think it’s strange to run a business this way, but it keeps our costs down and lets us stay flexible. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighbors don't mind us. We aren't into big corporate speeches or making promises we can't keep. We just take the orders as they come and try to make sure everything gets where it’s supposed to go. It’s a lot of tracking numbers and emails. Sometimes the monsoon rains make things difficult, but we carry on. It’s just a small team of us doing our best in a regular Kolkata flat. We prefer it this way. It feels more personal and less like a machine.
