Hazra Tyme

Our shop is Hazra Tyme, and you can find us at 51 Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Road, right in the Kalighat area. It’s a very old part of town, and the road outside is always packed with buses and yellow taxis honking their horns. We are in a building that has seen a lot of history. Inside the store, we have glass cabinets filled with all sorts of watches. It’s a family-style environment, nothing too formal. We don’t wear suits or have fancy titles. Usually, one of us is sitting near the door and the other is at the back working on a repair. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it. We get a lot of people walking in from the Kalighat temple area or people just heading home from work. They ask us to fix a pin or replace a glass. We don't try to sell them things they don't need. If a watch is too far gone, we just tell them. It’s an honest way to run things. We’ve got a small fan that makes a clicking sound, and that’s basically the soundtrack to our days. It’s a simple life, keeping track of time for everyone else while the day just rolls by on the street outside. We like being part of this neighborhood, even with all the noise and the crowds that gather daily.
