Savoury

Savoury is tucked away at 6, Chirantani, 2nd Street in Modern Park. We are right near the Star Club in Santoshpur. It is more of a residential neighborhood, so it is a bit quieter than the main roads, which we actually like. We have been working out of this spot for a while now. The building is part of the Modern Park area, and it feels like a regular neighborhood house. We spend our days here getting food ready. Since we are near the Star Club, there is usually some activity nearby, but on our street, it is mostly just the neighbors walking their dogs or kids playing. Our workspace is pretty practical. We have got our stoves and our prep tables, and it is usually a bit of a jumble of containers and ingredients. We do not go for any of that corporate look. We just have our name on the front and get to work. Santoshpur is a good place to be because it feels like a real community. Sometimes we have to move stuff in and out and it can get a bit noisy for the street, but everyone is pretty understanding. It is just a small operation where we do everything ourselves. We are usually busy with something, even if it is just cleaning the big pots after a long day of work.
