Sangam Saloon

Sangam Saloon is at 505 Jessore Road in the Motijhil area. We are very close to the IDBI ATM, which is right near the Nager Bazar More. This is a very busy intersection, so there are always people walking by. My shop is a standard salon for men. I have been here for many years. It is a simple place with three barber chairs and large mirrors. The mirrors have some scratches, but you can see yourself clearly enough. We do haircuts and shaves mainly. Most of the men who come here are regulars who live in Motijhil. They like to sit and talk about local things while they wait. I have two other barbers working with me. We have a few fans on the ceiling to keep the air moving, though it still gets hot in the summer. We don't have any fancy music, just the sound of the traffic from Jessore Road. The floor is usually covered in hair, but we sweep it up every hour or so. We use regular shaving creams and blades that I buy from the wholesale market. It’s an honest shop and we don't try to be something we are not. If you need a haircut, you just come in and take a seat on the wooden bench. We don't do anything complicated, just good old-fashioned barber work. I open early every day and stay late if there is a queue.
