S B Caterer

Our place is at 99, Raja Rammohan Roy Road, right near Swamiji Sarak in Barisha. It is not a very big setup, but S B Caterer keeps us on our toes every single day. The area is usually busy with people moving around, and we are part of that hum. We spend our mornings checking the inventory and making sure the gas cylinders are full. In the kitchen, things move fast. One minute you are boiling a massive pot of water, and the next you are trying to find where someone put the ladles. We don't have any fancy robots or high-tech gear; it is just us with our knives and stoves. The walls have some stains from the steam, and the floor is a bit worn down from all the walking back and forth. Barisha is a place where people know each other, so we often see familiar faces when we are out delivering. It gets stressful when there is a big event and the rain starts pouring down, making the road muddy. We just pull our boots on and keep moving the crates. We don't spend much time sitting down. Usually, we are eating our own lunch standing up between tasks. It is honest work, and it keeps the lights on. We don't have a marketing team; we just let the food and the work we do at the events speak for itself. It’s just how we operate.
