Ruchi Food Centre

Ruchi Food Centre is located at 144, Picnic Garden Road, not far from the 39 Bus Stop. It is a small place where we make food for the people who live and work around here. We aren't a big restaurant with waiters and long menus. It’s more of a straightforward spot where you can get something to eat without any fuss. The area around the 39 Bus Stop is always crowded, so we see a lot of different faces every day coming and going. We spend most of our time in the kitchen area, which is small but we make it work for us. It gets quite hot in there, especially during the summer months when the stoves are all going at once. We don't have any fancy signs or big lights outside. It is just a plain shopfront on Picnic Garden Road. We focus on making the food the way we would at home for ourselves. Sometimes we run out of things early if it’s a busy day, and we just have to tell people we’re done for the day. That’s just how it goes sometimes in this business. We don't use any complicated ingredients or anything like that. It’s just simple, everyday food. My brother and I run the place most of the time. We’ve been here for a while and we know how the neighborhood moves. We just keep things simple and try to get orders out.
