Royal Chef

We've been at Rangit Mall for a while now, up here on the first floor. If you know the Madhyamgram Municipality building, we are right beside it on Sodepur Road. The kitchen gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the lunch rush starts and the mall gets noisy. We just focus on getting the food out to the tables. Most of us here have lived in Kolkata our whole lives, so we know the local tastes. It’s not a fancy place, just some tables and chairs where people can sit down after doing their shopping. Sometimes the lift in the mall acts up, so people have to take the stairs to find us. We spend a lot of time prepping vegetables and making sure the supplies are fresh. It’s a lot of work running a kitchen in Madhyamgram. We see the same faces every week, people coming in with their families or just grabbing a quick bite during their work break. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. The traffic on Sodepur Road can be a headache, but once you get inside and sit down, it’s alright. We don’t have any big speeches to give about what we do. We just open the doors, cook the food, and clean up at the end of the night. That’s how it goes here every day. It is nothing special, just a regular job for us.
