You can find us at 29/1 Armenian Street, up on the second floor. If you’ve ever walked through this part of the city, you know how crowded and narrow the streets are. It’s an old building, so the stairs are a bit steep and it takes a bit of effort to carry the rolls of cloth up to our floor. We do garment creations here, mostly focused on the wholesale side of things. The rooms are filled with samples and scraps of fabric. It’s definitely not a place designed for tourists or casual shoppers. It’s a workspace through and through. We have a few desks where we handle the paperwork and then the rest of the space is for the cutting tables. The light coming through the old windows is actually pretty good in the morning. We’ve been here for quite some years now, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change, but Armenian Street always stays busy. Dealing with the logistics of getting goods in and out of such a tight street is probably the hardest part of our day. We usually have a lot of tea and talk about the market prices and what’s moving fast. It’s a bit chaotic at times, especially when a big order is due, but we are used to the rhythm. There’s no corporate fluff here, just people working with fabric and trying to make a living in the heart of the old business district. We just keep at it and hope the delivery trucks find a parking spot.
