Raj Caterer

We are located at 60 3/3 on Bade Raipur Road in Jadavpur, right near the 8B bus stand. Being so close to Jadavpur University means there are always students and teachers walking around, which makes the area feel very lively. Our spot is in the 700032 zip code area of Kolkata. We do catering for different events, but our home base is right here in this busy pocket of the city. It is often loud because of the buses honking and the people shouting near the stand, but we have gotten used to the noise over the years. Inside, it is usually a bit chaotic with big pots and pans being cleaned or packed for the next job. We don’t have a fancy office with air conditioning; it’s more of a workspace where the real labor happens. Sometimes we are up late at night prepping for a morning function, and the street outside gets quiet for a few hours. Then the first buses start rolling again at 8B, and the whole cycle begins once more. It is a tough business with a lot of heavy lifting and long hours on our feet. We just focus on getting the food where it needs to go and making sure we don't forget any of the equipment like spoons or serving bowls. It’s just how we live and work in Jadavpur.
