Pawan Steel Corporation

Pawan Steel Corporation is located at 37, Netaji Subhas Road. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know it’s the place to go for anything metal or industrial. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It’s a narrow building and the front is usually blocked by some truck loading or unloading steel rods and plates. Inside, the air smells like iron and old oil. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, and our clothes usually end up with some grease on them by the end of the day. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our stock is just piled up in the back or in the warehouse. We spend a lot of time on the phone quoting prices and checking what we have left in the racks. It’s a loud place because of the traffic outside and the sound of metal clanging together, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the books and take payments. It’s a very basic setup, just the way we like it. We’ve been here for years and we know most of the other shop owners on the block. We aren't trying to be fancy or corporate. We just sell steel and tell people what the current rate is without any of the usual sales talk. It’s a noisy life.
