P K Ghosh & Son

Marshall House is a big place and we are way up on the fifth floor in room 532. Strand Road is always noisy because of the traffic and people moving around near the Central Bank of India head office. P K Ghosh & Son has been around for a bit. We spend most of our days here handling paperwork and talking to people who come by. It is not a fancy office, just a place where work gets done. You have to take the lift up, which sometimes takes a while if the building is busy. The windows look out over the street and you can see everything happening down there. Our desks are usually covered in files and folders. It gets quite hot in the afternoons but the old fans keep things moving enough to stay comfortable. People know us in this part of town because we have stayed in the same spot for quite some time. We don't really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most folks just find us because they know the name or someone told them where we are. It is a straightforward operation here at Marshall House. We show up early and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s just how things are on Strand Road. The rooms are a bit small but we make it work with all the extra shelves we have put up over the years. It is a lot of writing and checking things twice.
