We’ve been here at 2 Blk B in Bangur Avenue for a while now. Most days start pretty early because there is always something to chop or a list to check. People usually find us when they have a small house party or maybe a bigger event in the neighborhood. It gets loud in the kitchen when the burners are all going at once. We spend a lot of time over large pots, making sure the rice is right or the gravy has cooked down enough. The traffic on Bangur Avenue can be a bit much sometimes, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home. Our staff usually knows the local shortcuts to get the food delivered on time. It isn't always easy work, carrying heavy containers up and down stairs, but it’s what we do. Sometimes things get hectic and we forget to drink enough water, but that’s just how the catering business goes. We aren't a big fancy office, just a workspace where we get the cooking done. Usually, you can smell whatever is being prepared halfway down the block. Neighbors sometimes pop their heads in to see what’s for lunch. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the orders we have for the day. 700055 is a busy area, but we’ve managed to find our rhythm here among the other shops and houses. It’s mostly about showing up and getting the fire started.
