Ambition Scarves

You can find Ambition Scarves over in New Alipore, right at 28/7 Sahapur Colony. We are on the first floor, so you have to walk up the narrow stairs. We are directly opposite the HSBC Bank, which makes it easy to explain to people who haven't been here before. The space isn't very large, so it’s packed with scarves in every corner. We have them folded on shelves and some hanging from racks we put up ourselves. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We spend a lot of time checking the edges of the fabric and making sure the colors look right under the light. The windows look out onto the street, so we see all the commuters going to the bank all day. It gets a bit noisy with the horns honking outside, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. It's just a local spot where we handle everything ourselves, from unpacking the deliveries to packing up the orders for customers. Sometimes the floor gets covered in lint and we have to sweep it up three times a day. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making tea when we get a break. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We just like working with the fabrics and being in this part of town. It feels like home to us after all these years. We just keep doing what we know best.
