Nasif Saloon

You can find Nasif Saloon at 21 Mall Road in Kolkata. We are situated right near the Tata Gate area, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. I started this place because I wanted to work for myself. It’s not a big fancy parlour with air conditioning that freezes you out. It’s just a normal room with the tools we need. We get a lot of guys from the neighborhood coming in for a shave or a quick cut. Mall Road is always busy with traffic and people walking by, so there’s always something to look at through the window. We’ve got a couple of chairs and some old magazines for people to read if they have to wait. I’ve lived in this part of Kolkata my whole life. The shop is like a second home to me. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just walk in. Some have been coming to me since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids. It’s nice to see the families grow over the years. We keep the shop open pretty late most days because that’s when people get off work. If you are near Tata Gate, you’ll see our sign. It’s a simple place where you can get your hair done without a lot of talking if you don't feel like it. Just a straightforward shop on Mall Road. It’s how we have always done things.
