We are based at No. 114/ 1b on Cotton Street, right in the middle of Burrabazar. If you have ever been to this part of town, you know it’s a landmark for a reason. At Khandelwal Jutex Pvt. Ltd., we deal with jute and textiles in a place that’s been a hub for trade for generations. It is loud, crowded, and there is always a truck or a handcart blocking the way. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a functional space where we handle our business. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the warehouse stock. Burrabazar has its own way of working, and we’ve been here long enough to understand it. The humidity can be tough, and the old buildings have a lot of character, but also a lot of leaks when it rains. We just carry on with what needs to be done. There’s no point in making things sound more complicated than they are. We buy, we store, and we sell. It’s simple work that takes a lot of patience. Most of us have been working together for years, so we have a routine that works. You won't find any corporate talk here. We just know our trade and we stay busy on Cotton Street. It’s an honest way to make a living, even with the dust and the constant noise of the market outside. We like the local vibe of the street.
