You can find Lotus Ladies Beauty Parlour inside the Dum Dum Park Market area. We are located on Shyamnagar Road, quite close to the Dum Dum Park Post Office. It is a busy little corner of Kolkata. The parlour is a place where we do all the usual things like facials, hair styling, and threading. We have been working here for quite some time. The market is always loud, and there is a lot of energy around us. Our shop is small, so it can get a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We have some curtains for privacy and a few chairs for waiting. We don't use any high-end marketing talk. We just tell people what we can do and then we do it. Sometimes the fans don't rotate fast enough in the summer, but we try to keep everyone comfortable. Most of our regulars are women who are out doing their grocery shopping in Dum Dum Park. They drop in for a quick bit of grooming before heading home. We know their names and their stories. It is a very local kind of place. We keep our supplies tucked away in the cabinets and try to stay as tidy as possible. It is a hard-working life here on Shyamnagar Road, but we enjoy the company. We stay open all week and just take breaks when it is slow.
