Lite Metal Industries

If you find yourself on N.S. Road, you might know Marshal House. It’s one of those older buildings that has seen a lot of history. Lite Metal Industries is up in Room No. 778 on the 33/1 stretch. It’s a busy area, always crowded with people and cars, so finding a parking spot is a real headache most mornings. The room itself is packed with samples and old ledgers. We’ve been in the metal business for quite a few years now. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture or a coffee machine that does lattes. We have a small stove for making chai and that’s about it. Dealing with metal means we’re always looking at prices and talking to suppliers on the phone. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop working long enough to do it. It’s a bit cramped when more than three people are in the office at once, but we make it work. Most of our business happens over the phone or by people just dropping in because they know we’ve been here forever. We don't do much advertising because the street address alone usually tells people what they need to know. It’s just us, some old desks, and a lot of metal talk every single day. We like the grit of this neighborhood and the way everyone knows everyone else’s business.
