You can find Rainbow Retail Chain Pvt. Ltd. on the second floor of Plot No. 32 in Phase No. 1 of the Kasba Industrial Estate. It’s an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving around and a lot of activity outside. Our office is a bit more industrial than a typical retail shop. We have a lot of computers and some sample products from the different stores we manage. It’s a bit of a maze of desks and filing cabinets. We moved here because we needed more space for the administrative side of the retail chain. The hallways are wide but the lighting could be better. We spend most of our time looking at inventory lists and talking to the store managers. It’s a lot of coordination to make sure everything is running okay. We aren't a fancy corporate headquarters; we’re just a group of people trying to keep things organized. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. It’s part of working in this part of town. We’ve been here for a while and we know the other business owners in the estate. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to make sure the retail side of things stays on track without too many hiccups. It’s busy work, but we like the pace. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets dusty out there in the estate.
