We’ve been working out of 10 Saha Lane in Kolkata for some time now. Dealing with granites and running a crusher isn't the cleanest job in the world, but it is what we do every single day. The lane gets a bit cramped when the bigger trucks try to maneuver through the narrow space, especially during those busy morning hours when everyone is in a hurry. People living around here have probably gotten used to the sound of the machines by now. It is just a regular office and yard setup where we manage the orders and keep track of the stone coming in and out. Most days are spent checking the inventory or talking to the drivers about their routes. The weather in Kolkata doesn't help much when it gets really humid, and the fine dust from the granite seems to stay on your clothes no matter what you do. We aren't doing anything fancy here, just moving stone and making sure the crusher keeps running without breaking down at the wrong time. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the wooden desk, and we have to spend the whole afternoon just catching up on things. It is a local operation, nothing too big or corporate. We just show up, get the work done, and go home like everyone else in the neighborhood. The address is easy to find if you know this part of town, though parking can be a real headache. We have a small team, and we all pretty much do a bit of everything, whether it's answering the phone or checking the stones out back.
