Sangopang Bricks Pvt. Ltd. is situated out in Village Mollarpur, which is in the Birbhum district. It’s a bit of a drive to get out here, but we like being out in the open space. Our operation is mostly about the production side of things. We have a lot of land where we process the materials needed for our bricks. Birbhum has a certain way about it, and we feel like we are a real part of this local community. The workers come in from the nearby areas of Mollarpur every day. It’s a lot of physical labor, stacking and moving bricks in the sun. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning. Most of our day is spent out in the yard or near the kilns. We provide bricks for a lot of the construction happening in this part of the district. It’s steady work. We try to keep the bricks looking about the same, though when you're working with earth and fire, every batch has its own character. Sometimes the trucks get stuck if the roads are muddy after a big storm, but we manage. People know us as the brick place in Mollarpur. We don't do much advertising; word of mouth usually does the trick around here. If someone needs a load of bricks for a project, they send a message or show up at the site. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We stay busy enough and that’s plenty for us.
