Kanishk Opticals

Kanishk Opticals is located at 32, S.K. Deb Road, specifically in the 3rd By Lane. It can be a little tricky to find if you aren’t familiar with the lanes around here, but once you turn into the right spot, you’ll see our shop. It isn’t one of those big, shiny showrooms you see in the malls. We have our frames on the walls and a chair for eye testing in the back. The space is small, so you can pretty much see everything as soon as you walk in. Most of our day is spent cleaning lenses or helping people find a pair of glasses that actually fit their face without sliding down. We have a lot of locals who just drop in because they’ve known us for a long time. The street outside can get quite narrow, especially when a delivery van is trying to squeeze through. It’s mostly quiet in the mornings, then picks up in the evening when people are heading home from work. We have a small workbench where we do minor repairs, like fixing a bent frame or replacing a tiny screw that fell out. There’s always a faint smell of cleaning solution in the air. We don’t have any big flashy ads, just the shop window and the work we do every day. It’s a simple life running a shop on S.K. Deb Road, and we like it that way. We just keep things running.
