Kanchan Metals Private Limited is located at 13/3, Mahendra Roy Lane. It’s a quiet enough street most days, though we do get our share of delivery trucks. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long while now. The building is a bit old, and you can see the wear on the walls, but it’s sturdy. We deal with metal products here. It’s a dusty job and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the day. The office is just a small corner of the building where we keep the books and take orders. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s a straightforward metal business. We spend our time checking inventory and making sure the orders are correct. Sometimes the machinery is a bit moody, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing something instead of producing. But that’s just how it is in this line of work. Mahendra Roy Lane is a good place for us because we’re tucked away but still accessible. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or using big buzzwords. We are just a bunch of people who know how to work with metal. We show up every morning, do the work, and head home. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we know. We’ve built a steady life here at 13/3 and we plan to stay for as long as we can keep the doors open. There is always a pile of scrap metal waiting to be sorted.
