Janviwala Steel

Janviwala Steel is based out of Paras Chamber on Lakkedpitha Road. If you know the area, you know it can get pretty crowded with all the trucks and loaders moving through at all hours. We’ve been dealing in steel for a long time now. It’s heavy, dirty work, but someone has to do it. Our space isn't much to look at, mostly just stacks of papers and samples of what we can source from the mills. We spend a lot of our time talking to contractors and builders who need specific types of steel for their projects. Sometimes we have to tell people things will take a few extra days because the transport is stuck or the mill is behind, and we try to be straight about that. There’s no point in making promises you can’t keep when a construction site is waiting on you. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go on this road over the years, but we’ve managed to stay put by just being honest with the folks who walk through our door. The office gets a bit hot in the summer, but we usually have a fan going and someone brings in cold water. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if we’re busy from morning until evening. We don’t have a big marketing department or anyone to answer the phones with a script. It’s just us and the steel trade, doing what we can with what we have.
