J K Caterers is based at 8A on Biplabi Pulin Das Street, which is right off A P C Road in Kolkata. We are quite close to Rajabazar, so there is always a lot of activity right outside our doors. This part of the city, with the 700009 pin code, is old and very full of life. We focus mostly on the cooking side of things. Our kitchen stays busy preparing food for different occasions that people have around the neighborhood. It is a local operation, and we do not have a big front office or anything like that. We mostly deal with families and local groups who need food for their small functions or home get-togethers. The street outside is narrow, as many are in this part of Kolkata, and things can get quite loud with the traffic coming from APC Road. We have been here for a while, just doing our daily tasks. Cooking in large quantities takes a lot of coordination, and our staff is used to the heat and the constant rush. We do not do much advertising; people usually hear about us from their neighbors or friends who have used us before. It is a straightforward business where we focus on the recipes we have always used. We pick up our supplies from the local markets early and get to work right away. It is hard work, but it is what we know how to do. If you are walking near Rajabazar, you might smell what is cooking at our place.
