Imperial Caterer

Our kitchen is located at 23 Ramanath Pal Road in the Khidirpur area. We have been running Imperial Caterer for a long time now. It is a family business that started with just one small stove and a few big pots. Now we handle much larger orders for weddings and local parties around Kolkata. The work is very physical and starts long before the sun comes up. We spend hours chopping vegetables and grinding spices by hand. Khidirpur is a very crowded neighborhood, so getting our delivery vans through the narrow lanes is always a challenge. We have to plan our routes carefully to avoid getting stuck in traffic for hours. The kitchen gets incredibly hot when all the burners are going at once. We have a team of local cooks who have been with us for years. They know exactly how much salt or spice to add without even thinking about it. We do not have a fancy office or a marketing team. Most of our work comes from people who have eaten our food at other events. After a big job is finished, we spend a lot of time scrubbing the giant metal deghs and cleaning the floors. It is hard on the back, but seeing a successful event makes it worth it. We just keep cooking and hope for the best for every order.
