Haridass Chunder (Clearing Agents) Pvt Ltd has been around for quite a long time. Our office is in the Mercantile Building, specifically 9C on the first floor of Block A. We are right on Lal Bazar Street, directly opposite the Lal Bazar Head Quarter. It’s a very historic part of the city. The building itself has a lot of character, with its old hallways and high ceilings. As clearing agents, our work involves a lot of customs stuff and legal paperwork. It can be quite tedious, but it’s what we do. We spend our days dealing with various departments and making sure all the boxes are checked. The street outside is always buzzing with people and police activity because of the headquarters across the way. It’s a very formal-feeling area, but our office is actually pretty relaxed once you get inside. We’ve got stacks of files that probably go back decades. We don't really go for modern aesthetics; we just keep things functional. People know where to find us because we’ve been in the Mercantile Building forever. It’s a steady job that requires a lot of patience and attention to detail. We just keep processing the documents and helping folks get their goods cleared. It’s a traditional way of doing business in a very traditional part of town. We don't see ourselves moving anywhere else. It’s just where we belong on Lal Bazar Street.
