Haji A1

Haji A1 is our small shop over in Kolkata on K B Sarani. We are at Shop number 18, which is really close to the Khudiram statue. If you know that area, you probably walked past us a dozen times. It’s a small space, not one of those big fancy dining halls you see in the city center. We focus on a few specific items that we can do well every day. Mostly, it's about getting the flavors right for the local crowd. The street gets quite busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home or out for a walk. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while now. The staff here is just a few of us working together. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just a local counter where you can grab something to eat. We try to keep our prices fair because we know our neighbors. The shop isn't much to look at from the outside, but we keep the inside tidy. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the day is busier than we expected. That’s just the way it goes with a small business. We like being near the statue because it's a good landmark for people to find us. If you're around 700080, we’re usually there working. It’s a simple life and we like it that way.
