Amrita Caterer

Amrita Caterer is based out of 140, Aambagan in the Bansdroni area. We have been in this little corner for a while. Aambagan is a quiet enough spot compared to the main roads. It gives us the space we need to get our work done without too much distraction. Most of the people who work here are from around the neighborhood. We started small and we’ve stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. We don’t have fancy marketing or anything like that. Our address at 140 is where everything happens. We spend our mornings on prep work and our afternoons sorting out the logistics. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we are used to it by now. The neighbors know us well. Sometimes they pop in just to say hello or ask about the weather. We like that about being in Bansdroni. It feels like a real community. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just catering. We take orders and we fulfill them. Simple as that. The building is old but sturdy enough for us. We’ve made it our own over the years. There’s always a bit of a mess with all the equipment and pots, but we know where everything is. It’s not a showroom, it’s a workplace. We show up, we work, and we go home. That’s the way it’s always been for us here.
