Hair Art Family Saloon

Hair Art Family Saloon is located at CG 231 on the ground floor in Salt Lake City. We are right near the swimming pool, which is a landmark everyone in this part of Kolkata knows. Being in Salt Lake is nice because the streets are wide, though it can get a bit quiet in the afternoons. Our shop is a family place, so we see everyone from kids getting their first trim to older folks who have lived in the block for decades. It is not a very big space, but we make it work with the layout we have. The floors are easy to sweep, which is good because there is always hair falling somewhere. We spend a lot of time talking to the regulars about what is happening in the neighborhood. Usually, the radio is playing softly in the background. We have a few different stations for cutting and washing. It’s just a normal routine day in and day out. Sometimes the humidity in Kolkata makes the shop feel a bit stuffy, but the fans keep the air moving well enough. People stop by after their swim or while they are out for a walk around the park areas. We don’t do anything too complicated here, just the standard styles and grooming that families need. It is a simple life running a shop like this, and we like being part of the local community near the swimming pool.
