You can find Gee Gee Caterers over at 131 Cotton Street, which is right near Satyanarayan Park in the middle of Burrabazar. If you’ve ever been to Burrabazar, you know how crowded and loud it can get at any hour of the day. It’s a maze of shops and people everywhere. Our building is right in the thick of it all. We’ve been here for a long time, handling all sorts of catering jobs for the neighborhood. The morning starts with getting supplies through the narrow streets, which is always a bit of a challenge with all the handcarts and trucks blocking the way. But we’re used to it. Our space is busy from dawn till dusk. We don't really do the whole corporate image thing. We’re just local folks who know how to cook for a crowd. Satyanarayan Park is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time among all the shops. We spend most of our time in the back where the big stoves are. Burrabazar has a specific energy, and we’ve become a part of that over the years. We handle everything from small family gatherings to larger events that need hundreds of meals. It’s not always easy working in such a busy area, but it keeps us on our toes and we never get bored. We don’t have a website with fancy photos; we just rely on people knowing us and our work.
