Our office for Gac Shipping I Pvt Ltd is at 230 A, on the 4th floor. We’re on A J C Bose Road, which is part of Lala Lajpat Rai Sarani. It’s a very busy part of town, so there’s always something happening outside. From the 4th floor, we can see the tops of the buses and the sea of umbrellas when it rains. The office itself is pretty simple. We have a few long tables and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We handle the shipping side of things, so it’s a lot of coordinating with the port and checking on vessel times. It’s mostly desk work, but it keeps us on our toes. The afternoon sun hits the windows directly, so it can get a bit warm in here around three o'clock. We usually keep the blinds down and have a fan going. We’re a quiet group for the most part, just focusing on our own tasks. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite at the stalls nearby, which have the best snacks in the area. We don't have any big mission statements or corporate art. It's just a place where we come to work and earn a living. We’ve been in this building for quite a while, so we know the security guards and the other tenants pretty well. It’s a decent place to be, even with all the traffic and the noise from the street.
