Fashion Ladies Beauty Parlour is tucked away at 27/5/1 Attapara Lane in Kolkata. If you know the area, you know the lanes here can be a bit narrow and winding, but that’s where you’ll find us. We’ve been operating out of this small space for a long time now. It’s a very local business. Most of the women who come here live just a few doors down or a couple of streets over. We don't have a big storefront with glass windows or neon lights. It’s more of a traditional setup. Inside, it’s a bit cozy, maybe even a little tight when there are three or four people waiting. We have our regulars who come in every month. We don’t spend money on advertising or fancy signs. Most people hear about us from their mothers or sisters. We do hair cutting, henna, and the basic things. Sometimes the neighborhood kids are playing outside and it gets a bit loud, but we don't mind the noise. It’s just how Kolkata life is. We keep the place clean, though it’s an old building so it has its quirks. The walls might need a bit of paint here and there, but the work we do is solid. We open when the market starts getting busy and close when things quiet down at night. We don’t have any big corporate goals. We just want to keep the shop running and help our neighbors look their best for whatever they have going on in their lives.
