Our spot is in the Shivam Building, shop number G 25, right on Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road. It’s a small shop, but it fits everything we need to run things daily. Most days start with us unlocking the metal shutter and letting the morning air in, even if it’s already getting hot out. The 46E address is easy enough to find once you're on the main road. We have a few wooden counters and some shelves that are usually overflowing with packets of all sizes. There’s a ceiling fan that squeaks a bit when it’s on high, but it helps when the afternoon sun hits the front of the building. We see a lot of the same faces every day, mostly people from the nearby offices dropping off their mail. We don’t use any fancy software for everything, just basic logs and a lot of pens. Sometimes we run out of blue ink and have to switch to black, which is fine as long as it's readable. The street outside is always humming. You get used to the sound of the cars after a week of working here. We take turns going out for snacks. There’s a guy who sells great samosas just a few doors down from us. We try to keep things organized, but when fifty packages arrive at once, the floor gets a bit cluttered. We just work through it until the pile is gone.
