Essential Ladies Beauty Parlour

We are located at 63/3, Dum Dum Road, which is a pretty crowded part of Kolkata. If you know the area, you know how much traffic there is. Our parlour is a small space, but we try to keep it neat. Most of the ladies who come here live in the flats nearby. They come in for a quick haircut or maybe to get their hair colored. We use the regular stuff you find everywhere. Nothing too fancy. The floor is usually covered in hair by the afternoon because we get a bit busy then. I’ve been running this place for some time now. I like talking to the customers about their families and what’s happening in the city. Dum Dum Road is never quiet, even late at night. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We have some old magazines for people to look at while they wait their turn. The chairs are comfortable enough, I think. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to do the basic beauty work. It’s a practical shop. We don’t do big advertisements or anything. People just see the sign and walk in. We have a tiny sink for washing hair and sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we manage. It's just a regular part of life here in Kolkata.
