Emco Metal Works

We've been at 62B, Alipore Road for a long time now. Most days it’s just the sound of cutting and welding echoing through the shop. Emco Metal Works isn't a fancy place, just a workshop where we get things done. People come by when they need something made or fixed. The shop is usually dusty and smells like iron, but that’s how it goes in this trade. We don't spend much time on the office part of things. Usually, someone is out back working on a frame or a custom piece. It’s a busy street, Alipore Road, so there’s always noise outside too. Sometimes it gets crowded with materials waiting to be moved. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the work we do stays pretty much the same. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going. If you walk past 62B, you’ll probably see us through the gate. We just handle what comes in and try to stay on top of the orders. There isn't a big team here, just a few of us who know the machines. We keep our tools sharp and our heads down. It’s not about being the biggest shop, just about finishing the job so the next one can start. That’s really all there is to it. No big secrets or fancy equipment, just the stuff that works. We stay busy enough. We don't have a website, just the shop floor and our hands. It's not always pretty, but it's what we do.
