Ds World Cargo

If you find yourself near Richie Park or walking down Valmeek Street in Kalighat, you’ll find us at number 3. It’s right across from the park, which is a nice thing when you need a minute of fresh air. The office is pretty small and usually packed with crates or boxes waiting to move somewhere. We handle cargo for all sorts of people, from neighbors to local businesses. Some days it’s just small packages, and other days it’s stuff that barely fits through the front door. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the paperwork and the boxes piled up high on every shelf. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or nice furniture because there’s no room for them anyway. The humidity in Kalighat can be tough on the paperwork, so we try to keep the old fans going all day long. It gets a bit chaotic when three different people show up at once wanting to ship things to different countries. We just take it as it comes and try to stay organized. We aren't some giant corporation with a call center and a script. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the desk that day. Sometimes it’s a bit messy, but the cargo gets moved and that’s the main thing we care about. It’s just how we do things here on Valmeek Street, day after day, keeping the world moving one box at a time and staying busy.
