Dolphin Beauty Parlour

Dolphin Beauty Parlour is at 288 Gopal Lal Tagore Road, right near the Joyshree Cinema Hall. Being near the cinema is good because people always know where that is. It’s a busy part of Kolkata and there is always noise from the street. I have been running this parlor for quite a few years now. I have two girls who work with me. We handle all kinds of things like hair cuts, waxing, and facials for the local ladies. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough space for three people to get worked on at the same time. We have a few rotating chairs and a big sink at the back for washing hair. The name Dolphin just sounded nice to me when I started. We don't have any air conditioning, just two ceiling fans that stay on all day. Sometimes we get very busy on Saturdays when women are getting ready for parties or weddings. We use local products that I trust. I don't spend money on fancy decorations, I just keep the walls painted a clean white. The floor is tiled and easy to wash at the end of the day. If you are coming from the cinema side, we are just a few doors down. We don't have a fancy website or a menu, I just tell people the price when they ask. It’s a simple neighborhood parlor for regular people.
