Our place, Diamond Hide & Co., is located at number 8, A.K. Mohd. Siddique Lane. It’s a small, quiet lane compared to the main streets nearby. You might miss it if you aren't looking carefully. We’ve been working with hides and leather for many years. The first thing people notice when they walk in is the smell of the skins. It’s a very distinct scent that stays with you. Our workshop isn't a modern factory. It’s full of old tools, large cutting tables, and stacks of leather in different colors. We do most of our work by hand, checking every hide for any marks or imperfections before we do anything with it. We aren't interested in mass-producing things that don't last. We’d rather take our time and do it the old-fashioned way. The team here is small, and most of us have been doing this since we were young. We don't have a big office or a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we have, you just come into the back and look through the stacks. We aren't big on promotional talk or trying to sell people things they don't need. We just provide decent hides to the people who know how to use them. It’s a quiet, slow-paced business, and that’s exactly how we like it. We keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the leather all day.
