Desi Vayanjan

Desi Vayanjan is located at 34, Durgapur Colony. We are right across from the Sahapur Army Camp in New Alipur. It’s a busy little area with people always moving around. We spend our days in the kitchen cooking up food that reminds us of home. We don't use any fancy techniques or strange ingredients. It is just the kind of meals we grew up eating. The shop isn't very big, but we have enough space to get the work done. The heat from the stoves gets pretty intense in the afternoons. We start early in the morning to get the vegetables fresh from the market. Dealing with the daily rush can be tiring. We get a lot of locals and people working nearby who just want a decent meal. Sometimes we run out of things if it’s a particularly busy day. We try our best to keep up with the orders. New Alipur is a good place to be. We’ve gotten to know the regular faces who stop by. It’s not a corporate chain, just a local spot we run ourselves. We handle the cleaning, the cooking, and the serving. It is a lot of work for a small team but we like it. The smell of spices is always in the air here. If you walk past the army camp, you can't miss us. We just keep things simple and focus on the food because that is what matters most.
