Arshi Bag

Our workshop is situated out in Dakshin Narayanpur, near the Rajarhat Gopalpur area. It’s quite close to the airport, so we hear the planes going over pretty often during the day. It’s a part of the North 24 Parganas district that has seen a lot of growth lately. We focus on making bags here. It’s a messy job sometimes with all the scraps of material and the glue, but we enjoy it. The place is more of a family-run feel than a big corporation. We don’t have a website with fancy photos or a big marketing team. We just make the bags and sell them to whoever needs them. People around here know us for being reliable and for just getting on with things. We use a lot of different materials depending on what’s available and what people are asking for at the time. The workroom is usually full of half-finished projects and different types of zippers. We try to keep things organized, but when you’re busy, stuff tends to pile up on the tables. We’ve been at this address for a while and have seen the area change from mostly fields to more buildings. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but we like the spot. We just want to keep making bags that last a while. Nothing more, nothing less. Usually, we have the radio on in the background while we work to keep things lively. It's a simple life but it keeps us busy enough.
