D J Shah & Co

We have been running D J Shah & Co out of the 9 C Basement at Steel Centre for a long time now. If you are familiar with the area near Ahme Masjid, you have probably walked past our entrance many times without noticing it. It is a busy spot and being in the basement means things stay a bit cooler, though it does get quite crowded with all the files and items we keep here. The Steel Centre is one of those places where everyone knows each other after a few years of working side by side. Our space is not a fancy office by any means. It is just a practical area with our desks, some old chairs, and a phone that never seems to stop ringing during the day. Some people find the basement location a little tricky to find the first time they visit, but once you know where the stairs are, it is easy enough. Being so close to the masjid means there is a certain rhythm to our day that we have grown very used to. We start early, get the shutters up, and settle in to get the work done. There is no big secret to why we stay in this spot. It is convenient for the trade we do and the neighbors are decent people. We spend most of our daylight hours down here, just getting through the tasks and talking to whoever drops by. It is a simple setup for D J Shah & Co.
