Manager Accounts

We are based in Flat 1A of the Alokananda Apartment in Kolkata. Being on the ground floor makes it quite convenient for people to drop off their papers without having to wander through the whole building. We handle accountancy work here, so the flat is usually full of ledgers, folders, and calculators. It’s a small, private space where just a few of us work on the computers and keep the books in order. Kolkata is a busy city, and while there is noise from the street, the apartment stays relatively quiet once the door is shut. We don't have any big corporate signs, just a small nameplate so people know they have the right flat. Inside, it feels very much like a regular home that has been turned into a workspace. We have high ceilings and those heavy wooden doors that you see in older Kolkata buildings. There’s a small kitchen where we make tea and snacks to get through the long afternoons of looking at numbers. Our clients are mostly local business owners who have been coming to us for years. They usually sit in the extra chairs we keep by the desk while we go over their taxes or payroll. It’s a very simple and direct way of working. We don't use any fancy software unless we have to, preferring to keep things straightforward and clear for everyone.
