Pole Star

Pole Star is located at No. 30/1A Ramkrisna Upanibesh in Jadavpur. We are quite close to Sulekha More, which is a landmark most people in this part of the city are familiar with. It’s a bit of a walk from the main crossing, but not too bad if the weather is okay. The office is in a residential-looking building, so it feels very much like a part of the local community. We have a small sign, but you might miss it if you aren't looking closely. Inside, it’s just a regular workspace with some desks and a couple of filing cabinets. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten used to the sounds of the neighborhood, like the kids playing nearby or the vegetable sellers going past. The room stays fairly cool because of the big tree just outside the window. We don’t do much in the way of decoration; it’s mostly just functional stuff we need for the day. Sometimes we have to move the chairs around if more than two people come in at once because the space is a bit tight. We like it here in Jadavpur, it has a good energy. We just show up every morning, unlock the gate, and get started on whatever is on the desk. It’s a straightforward way to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way. People often ask us how we find our way around these lanes, but you just get used to it.
