Tarapore And Co is based at 87, Ripon Street in the heart of Kolkata. This is an old part of the city with a lot of history and very narrow streets. Our office is in one of those classic old buildings that has been around for decades. It isn't the most modern place, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. The sounds of Kolkata are always coming through the windows—the yellow taxis honking and the people walking by. We have gotten used to the noise over the years. Inside, it’s a bit quieter. We have our desks and stacks of folders piled up. It’s not the most modern office, but it works for us. We aren't big on corporate polish. We just want to get our work done honestly. We take our tea breaks at the corner stall. The guy there has been making tea for as long as we’ve been here. It’s a simple life. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most people find us through word of mouth. Being in the heart of West Bengal means there is always something interesting happening. We are just glad to have our little spot on Ripon Street to call our own and get things done.
