Crepe Station Cafe

We’re up on the third floor of Mani Square Mall, right near the Apollo Hospital side in Kankurgachi. It’s a busy spot, especially on weekends when the mall gets packed with families and teenagers. We mostly make crepes and some other small bites. It’s not a huge kitchen, so things can get a bit tight when there are five or six orders going at once. You can hear the mall music in the background and the constant sound of the spatulas hitting the griddles. We’ve been here at 164/1 for a while now. Most of the staff started here just looking for a job and ended up staying because we get along okay. We don't have a fancy head chef with a tall hat or anything like that. We just learned how to flip the batter so it doesn't tear or burn. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up or we run out of a specific fruit, and we have to run around to fix it quickly. It’s a lot of standing and talking to customers who are taking a break from shopping. We see a lot of the same faces, people who work in the other shops or live nearby in Kankurgachi. It’s a simple setup. We keep the counters clean, cook the food, and try to keep the line moving. It gets hot behind the counter, but that’s just how it is.
