Classic India

Our place, Classic India, is right on C.R. Avenue at number 140. It is a pretty old building, and we’ve been here quite some time now. Kolkata is a busy city, and being on this road means there is constant traffic and noise outside our windows, but you get used to it after a while. We do our daily work from this office, mostly focused on the products we’ve been handling for years. There are heaps of papers and samples scattered around on the desks, but we know where everything is. It’s not one of those modern, minimalist offices you see in magazines. It feels more like a home for us because we spend so many hours here. The ceiling fans are always humming, and we usually have tea brought in from the stall downstairs twice a day. Our customers are mostly regulars who have been dealing with us since the beginning. They know they can just drop in and find us at our desks. We don't spend money on fancy signs or decor. We just focus on getting the orders shipped out on time. Sometimes the courier is late or the rain slows things down, but that's just how life goes here. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just keeping the business running and looking after the people who buy from us.
