Central Cook Caterer

We are tucked away on Natabar Dutta Row, right near the Muchipara Police Station in Bowbazar. Being in Bowbazar means there is always noise and people everywhere, and our kitchen fits right in. We call ourselves Central Cook Caterer because we are right in the middle of everything. It’s an old building, number 11/ H/2 B, and it has a lot of character, even if the walls could use a bit of paint. We have been cooking here for quite a while now. You can usually smell what we are making from down the street. We do a lot of traditional dishes, the kind of stuff you grew up eating at home. We aren't trying to be modern or trendy. We just use the recipes we know and the ingredients we can find at the market. Our staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for years. We aren't always the most organized, but the food always gets cooked and it always gets delivered. Sometimes we run out of things or a delivery boy gets lost in the narrow lanes of Bowbazar, but we always sort it out in the end. People come to us because they know we are just down the road and we won't charge them for things they don't need. It’s a busy, messy, and good life here in the city center.
